Our June Meeting: Celebrate Etsy's Birthday with Us!

Hi Team - I'm really excited to announce our June team event. Etsy is celebrating its birthday on June 18th and is asking for help to coordinate a world-wide craft party that day. Even though Etsy didn't give me anything for my birthday last year, I'm a forgiving gal, and would be happy to oblige.

So let's get together on June 18th and craft! The event will be on Friday night from 6:30 to 9:00 (or later, if you are a real party animal), come and go as you please. It will be held at a private home and we will be using both indoor and outdoor space. If you'd like to bring your camp chair, it would be appreciated for outdoor seating. Also, if you find yourself in a crunch and need to bring your kids, there is a playroom with a DVD player and a large yard with a sandbox.  The address is 330 E. Rancho Dr., Henderson NV  89015.  Yes, this is the Rancho Drive in HENDERSON, not Las Vegas.  It's close to the intersection of highway 95 and 215.  Click the RSVP link for a map.

Also, here's a blurb from Etsy about the event:
Etsy and the party sponsors will send a giant box of Etsy promos, coupons and gift certificates, supplies, and surprises from our amazing sponsors to the top 50 locations with the most RSVPs using Meetup Everywhere. We'll announce the top 50 on June 7, so get a move on!
In order to RSVP and get counted by Etsy (so we can win free stuff!) please click here and then click the big, red "I'm Interested" button.  You'll need to create a free account at Meetup Everywhere account or use your Facebook i.d. to log on.  Unless you have a Meetup Everywhere or Facebook account, you cannot RSVP.  But the Meetup Everywhere account is free and easy to set up.

We can decide on a group craft, or you can bring your own craft to work on.  But let's at least set the date and start getting excited about our first party!  Let's hear your ideas in the comments section about ideas for a group craft.  Maybe it could be something we could sell in our Team Etsy shop for fundraising? Or a charity item?  Or anything!  Also, we don't all have to do the same thing.  So what say ye?  RSVP through the link if you can come - hopefully we can win free stuff from Etsy by getting a lot of RSVPs!

Etsy provided these badges as well for your personal blogs or websites for those participating in the party.

Feel free to use these badges and banner on your blog or website to help spread the word and promote your Craft Party.

Oh, I see. You have to click the RSVP link to see the address. It's close to where I work, so it's a possibility for me.

We're in Phoenix for a seminar that whole week and won't be back until late Saturday night. Bummed about missing it. Missing my oldest son's b'day as well...he'll be 26 so I think he'll survive. hehe

Greetings : )
Why people (society in general) still pre-judge people who have tats. women especially?
I am a twenty six year old F, have got 9 tattoos, many of which can't be seen on my everyday travels. Five To Six during the summer are pretty much constantly on display. I don't struggle for attention and i also have a loving boyfriend Without TATTOOS .I get the impression that many people think that tattooed people are blind, once we get stared at, even if we return a glance many people continue staring. When will society change?
