Nice to Meet You!

Hello everyone! I am so excited we are starting a local Las Vegas team. I am really enjoying reading all your posts and getting to know us. :~)

I’m Marie of Artesia and I do fun & natural bath & body in Boulder City. My first craft fair is this Saturday at the Fiesta and I am really excited and nervous! I just signed up two weeks ago and I’ve been working away at getting ready ever since. Well, in between being a mom to my girls and all the responsibilities/joys that encompasses.

We moved to Boulder City about two years ago from Mayer, AZ where I was a 6th grade teacher. My partner was offered a job in Vegas he couldn’t refuse and so here we are! We have also lived in Sacramento and Murphy’s CA. I grew up in northern Maine and return there every so often to visit in the summer.

My BA is in Culture, Ecology, and Sustainable Community. While I was teaching on an emergency certificate I also went back to school full time to complete the Elementary Education certification. So now, of course, I am building a bath & body biz. :~)

That's so exciting that you're doing your first fair! I live right next that Fiesta but am going to be out of town this weekend otherwise I'd totally stop by to give you some support. Definitely let us know how it goes.

Your stuff looks so delectable in photos, but I'm sure smelling the real deal would be much better. Can't wait to get a whiff!

Wow! So much background! I grew up in Michigan and miss all the green!

One of these days I will get to Boulder City to wander around. I've only been there once to attend an auction and didn't really get a look at the place.

Is it a charming, small town type of place?

Thanks, Flaky!

Baillio, I hear ya about the green! When I get up north I just stand and stare and breath in the lushness.

Boulder City IS charming and small town-y, ChezChani. I would never have agreed to come to the Vegas area if I had to live in the city itself-I'm a small town girl. Even thought it is smallis compared to LV, there is alot going on here. Try dropping by on a weekend they are having an event like art in the Park. Lots of fun!
