Hi everyone!I'm so happy to have been invited to this Vegas group.
My shop is Mon Petit Chapeau (means... my little hat). I design and knit baby hats. (I've recently added cocoons and diaper covers because of requests for them)
Before I retired I was a high school technology coordinator and taught computer science. I know... how did I get from computer science to baby hats....
I love computers but always said when I retired, I was going to be able to re-invent myself... and I did.
I actually began knitting over 40 years ago but didn't have much time left while raising a family and working full time.
I love and collect vintage hats. I love to knit. So last June I began knitting baby hats. Soon I had so many hats and didn't know any babies so I decided to open a shop on etsy in Sept 2009. The rest is history.
I also have an ebay business. I have been selling "stuff" there since 1999.
I have been married to a wonderful man for 31 years this summer. I have two awesome boys (grown) and no grand kids... yet. I'm afraid when my first grand child is born, they will have way too many hats.
I'm looking forward to getting and sharing ideas about selling hand made things online. I'm still learning. I love what I do... isn't that what this is all about? (besides making money :-))
I look forward to meeting you on this blog or in person at the end of May.
Linda

I was a Playwright major in school and went from that to hair clips!
I love your hats.
I love hats, but I wish I looked better in them!
My shop name is french as well, ChezChani...house of Chani. It was the name of my mom's stores when we lived in Canada. She is Chani.
What an amazing photo! The hat looks sooo comfortable :) Thanks for sharing, it's so fun to hear how we all got involved in Etsy & follow our dreams.
