Next meeting?

Anyone know when the next meeting is? While I'm at it, does anyone have something they want to have added to the newsletter? I'll need it by Dec. 30.

Happy holidays to everyone

I just got back into my home this afternoon after having no power, phone, etc. since Tuesday. We had six feet of wet snow that knocked down trees and power lines. Freezing temperatures and no power made it impossible to stay here. Fortunately, I got some comp's at Santa Fe Station and Red Rock Casino, so my husband and I weren't out on the street. But the best holiday gift is being home, having both my daughters here from out of town, and being able to celebrate the holidays in my own home. I hope all of you have a wonderful holiday. It has been such a gift getting to know all of you.Take care---Robi (nevadawoods).

2010 the year of Hand Made in Vegas

What a great year it has been! Thank you Sarah for all the hard work you put into creating this fabulous group. I know so many of the team members have worked hard to make this group successful!

I thank you all!!!

Our craft shows at Mt Charleston were fantastic and I would love to see our group put on several more events together throughout the valley. We have so many talented members and I have no doubt that anything we put our minds to will be successful!!!

Have a great holiday and a wonderful New Years!!!!

To help our team

I published this one this morning. All about our team, please read it and share it too.

Come support our Team Tonight!

Tonight is the last ArtsWalk of 2010 - come by and get your last minute Christmas shopping done at this team sponsored event from some of our amazing members.  Also, Santa Claus will be there in his North Pole house taking gift request from good little boys and girls and of course, there will be free kids crafts and artist demonstrations.  If you can't come, please forward this to someone you know who might be interested or has little ones who need to check in with Santa.  Anything we can do as a team to make this event successful will pay off greatly.

The event is at 202 S. Water St., Henderson, NV 89015 between 5 and 8pm.  More event information is available here:  www.HendersonArtsWalk.com

Another great holiday idea

Please share this with everyone you know. Great way to get creative and save a bit of cash too. Read on and share.

My Fantabulous Scarf Hat AKA Hoodie Scarf

I saw a hat like this at the Henderson Winter Fest sooooooo I came home and made one like it. I just love it!  Then I realized that it could be worn with the hat off, like a hoodie, so I went forth and started to multiply!

My School House Rocks!!!

I really wish I could've finished this before the Christmas season.  I'm going to offer more dollhouses ranging in prices.  I love doing them.  Merry Christmas Everyone!!!!!!!

May I Blog About You??

Hello all,

I'm Elayne of ChezChani.

When I first started blogging, I really enjoyed it but all too quickly, I was struck with blogger's block.

I would very much like to start up again. My idea is to feature Handmade in Vegas team members in my blog. If you would be interested in being featured, please email me at elahnah@aim.com with the subject line I'D LIKE TO BE FEATURED.

Give me as little or as much info as you'd be okay with me writing, and all your links (Etsy shop, Blog, Twitter, additional websites...)

I will feature one shop in each blog and hopefully find the time and motivation to do one feature a week.

Thanks and happy holidays!!

NORTHWEST MEETING

A thank you goes out to all the ladies who came to the Northwest Meeting during this busy time of year.
I really enjoyed meeting and chatting with everyone.
Hope to see u at the Christmas Meeting.

Call for Vendors and Changes to ArtsWalk

If you would like to participate in ArtsWalk on December 16th, please let me know.  Here is the vendor information for those who have not vended with this event before: http://hendersonartswalk.blogspot.com/p/vendor-info.html.  This will be the last ArtsWalk we hold on a Thursday night.  After this month, we are going to take a break until April 2011. Thanks to all your feedback, we have decided to change up the event in 2011 to get better traffic and the event will move to Friday nights and only be held during the mild weather months.

The event will be held every Friday night during the months of April, May June, September and October.  It will not be held during the other months.  We are moving it to these Friday nights so we can piggy back off the ArtBeat event at the same location (weekly ticketed concerts at the Water Street events plaza) and hopefully get the traffic we have been missing in 2010.  Also, not doing the event during the extreme hot or cold will save everyone a lot of hassle since traffic always drops off drastically during those months.  And of course, having our vendors email their friends and family about their participation in the event and encouraging them to attend is always appreciated.  They make the best customers!  We always appreciate your feedback to continue improving this event for everyone and hope the upcoming changes are beneficial for everyone involved.

Happy Holidays, everyone!

WINTERFEST

So how many of our member will be participating??

I am! Friday and Saturday! Looking forward to seeing everyone!!

But don't forget, you can also buy from your team members - many of whom have signed up to offer 20% discounts to other team members. For those of you who need a lovely and elegant piece of jewelry, just use my coupon code : DEC2010, when you're shopping at www.carolynsjewelry.etsy.com for 20% off your entire order.

I love the new activity feed on Etsy

I absolutely love that I don't have to go to all my items to see who marked them a favorite!!!! I think Etsy is feeling some pressure from Artifre.
