Hi, my name is Edith and my Etsy shop is called SunlightGlassJewelry. Etsy.com. I make fused glass pendants and have only been on Etsy since October 2009, so I'm still kind of new to all this stuff, and am not even sure I'm doing this blogging thing right, but I decided to try. I'm so glad Sarah started this team. I think it's going to be lots of fun, and am looking forward to meeting many of you at our first meeting.
Today I was in a bead store and happened to hear a couple of ladies talking about a craft show in Boulder City called Doodlebugs. They said it was a great craft show with lots of vendors and attendees on December 1 every year. Does anyone know anything about it?
I also wanted to vote on the name for the team, but seem to be stymied every time I try. Any advice?

Hi Edith,
I've done Doodle Bug before, it is a good ahow and draws a crowd, You just have to be prepared to WORK hard the day of the show,as it is a one day show, set up starts at 6or 7am you need to get there early to get a good parking space and not have to carry your inventory and display across the street and it is a hassle getting your stuff through the doors if you are inside, because there are so many people trying to get in and out. Outside spaces are nice, but that time of year the weather is questionable, I've seen rain, wind and even snow on that show weekend.
with all of that being said it is a good show with lots of traaffic :)
I wish I had weekends off to attend things like this. Even as a shopper.
Hi Edith, that piece is gorgeous!
Beautiful items!!
I use to be actively involved in the Boulder City Community Club which hosts the annual Doodlebug Bazaar. The spaces are usually filled by June but sometimes the have a late cancellation for those interested. It is a good size show and I would want a space inside as it is usually very cold and windy.
I want to do the DoodleBug Bazaar this year - anybody know who to contact? It doesn't even seem to be on the BC event calendar.
