VENDOR OPPORTUNITY

I am doing the Holiday Gift and Craft show in November at the Palace Station. Irene, the lady who is running it, just sent me this nice note mentioning us and another vendor opp.

"Good afternoon everyone. I just wanted to let you all know that we are at 24 registered vendors for our Holiday Gift and Craft show and have 6 more pending. Many thanks to Brandy Decker, Julie Mirth and the members of Handmade in Vegas. With their help, we've been able to add some wonderful crafters to our list of vendors."

She also mentioned another fair coming up.

"In addition, I wanted to let you all know about the Handmade Craft Boutique and Gift show that's being held July 31st (next Saturday) at the Lamplight Village Community Center. Brandy Decker and Julie Mirth with "Spill the Beans" are running the show."

It's located at 7900 Meandering Path, LV (off Farm and Cimarron) Take the 95 N to Durango, Make a Right on Durango, Make a Right on Farm, Make a Left on Open Gate. Go through gate and park. Any questions contact spill the beans at 702-530-STBE. www.spillthebeansetc. com.

I don't know who else from the team is doing the one in November.

Has anyone further information on this show: total number of vendors to attend, cap on certain type of vendor craft, past successes, marketing plan?

If your talking about the one at Palace station she's only allowing one vendor per craft. She's looking for 40 vendors on this one. Contact irenesgifts4you@aol.com.

I don't know anything about the one at Lamplight. You need to contact the people running it.

Here is Irene's response to my above questions although I don't know how successful past shows have been:

Thank you for your interest in our upcoming Gift and Craft Show. In the past, we held the shows at Boulder Station in the Rail Head (their entertainment room in the middle of the casino). That room only fit 20 - 21 vendors. We averaged approximately 400 guests attend in the past. With this show, we're already at 26 registered vendors with a goal of 40 so we're anticipating an even greater turnout.

To answer your question regarding jewelry vendors, right now we have 5 - all very different from each other. One of our main goals is to make sure the we don't have duplicate vendors as well as too many of any one item. We have discussed the total number of jewelry vendors and decided we wouldn't allow more than 25% based off the total number of vendors. So, if we hit our goal of 40 vendors, then the cap on jewelry would be 10.

I hope this answers your questions. If you have any more, or would like to join us, please let me know - I'm attaching the sign up sheet as well as the vendor information form. Thank you again for your interest!

You can't base if you do a show on just how successful it may or may not have been in the past. Just because a show was good in the past doesn't mean it will be in the future and visa versa. Just like you never know from one show to the next what will sell and what won't. Sometimes just do it because its fun.
