July constest entry

I was feeling inspired last night, so I thought I would finish. I am debating adding sequins all the way around, or a star in the center. I think I may just leave well enough alone though!

The crown has an elastic back, so it is worn like a headband. Made of felt and pellon stabilizer. I sewed a button border at the bottom, then added white silk daisies on each side with brads (painted the centers blue and added a sequin). I took apart a red carnation and white carnation, then took a blue sharpie to some of the white edges and put it back together, attached with another brad. I sewed sequins and seed beads around the top point and added red, white and blue ribbons to each side (they hang down to the shoulder and blend in with your hair when worn). I think I like it!
