Good Morning Team!
A few weeks ago I passed by my local grocery store that went out of business and saw that they were remodeling the store. I was so excited to see that they were going to put another grocery store there (so I thought) Then driving by the other day, I saw a big sign on the front that says "HOBBY LOBBY" I was so sad! I thought... another sporting goods place, where's my food store!!! Then I received a flyer in the mail that said "Coming Soon... HOBBY LOBBY" Well to my surprise, It's not a sporting goods store at all! They sell arts & craft supplies. Everything from jewelry, needle art, scrapbooking, wedding supplies, picture frames, party supplies, home accents, fabric, floral and even wearables. They will even have store classes set up like Joanne's does.
The website says they plan on opening on 8/23/2010

In Texas there is a Hobby Lobby in most cities. They are great! I am so glad to get one here. Thanks for the info.

I was so excited to see they were opening one here, never been before, I saw one when I was driving through Phoenix last month,but didn't have time to stop.
Cool though that is a bit of a trek. Maybe if they do well then they'll open another one the other side of the Valley.
Ooh how exciting, although it is far from me. My parents do live in that area and perhaps I will be able to stop in when I am out that way visiting them.
I was so excited when I heard Hobby Lobby was coming to Vegas! When my husband and I lived in Kansas City, we spent so much time and money there. I can't wait until they open!
I read the announcement in the paper last night. Bummer that it's not on my side of town! Maybe one day they will open a second location up on the west side of Vegas.

I've never actually been in a Hobby Lobby - do they offer anything that Joann or Michael's dont? How are the prices?
They have their own line of yarn which is really nice, and they have their own line of beads.. They also offer all kinds of home decor as well as crafts items. I ALWAYS go to the one by my sister when I visit here in Georgia. I LOVE THAT STORE!!!! I have even mailed stuff back from there.
I used to go there when I lived in Louisiana. I usually went for dollhouse furniture, but I also dated artists in college, and they went there for a lot of their supplies.
I hope this means they may open more, since I am nowhere near Henderson.
I saw their ad when i got our mails the other day.it will be located in stephanie and sunset..it's like 5 minutes away from where i live...woohooo!!!!
went to ups to hand them some of my USPS outgoing mails and saw the place...saw the construction maybe 2 weeks ago and have no idea what they were building that time...
sooo excited to see that store...I'm one lucky girl...i'm only a few minutes away from Michael's, Joann's, and now Hobby Lobby!!!

I moved here from Houston last September when my husband got stationed here at Nellis AFB. I was at two Hobby Lobby's between 1-3 times every week in Houston and knew the entire floor staff and they all knew me. I've had to get things shipped since last September from Houston here from Hobby Lobby because the nearest one is 10 hours round trip. Sooo I couldn't be happier that one is opening up just in time for my busiest season (Halloween)
:) If you aren't familiar with Hobby lobby, it's the GREATEST craft store ever and almost everything goes on sale at least once a month.
Now if they would only open an IKEA in Vegas, life would almost be complete!!!

Hobby Lobby is great I went to my first one last week in SLC and am sold. Prices were great. It's like a Robert's,joann's and michael's combined. I felt like they had everything. Fabric, craft, scrapbook and home decor.
I was seriously just saying I wished we had a Hobby Lobby and then viola, we're getting one. I went to one in Oklahoma and LOVED it. It was like a Joanne's,Michael's and Pier one, all in one. Plus they have guy hobby stuff too. Can't wait!
