We met last week to discuss the jurying in of shops issues. After discussing all the input we collected from the blog and our own thoughts this is what we came up with.
In order to be a part of the Handmade In Vegas Etsy Team you will need to meet the following criteria:
1- Have and maintain an Etsy shop for a minimum of 3 months.
2- Sell at least 60% handmade items in your shop.
(If you have separate vintage and supplies shops you may direct buyers in your shop appearance
section to these shops but these items may not use the "MadeInVegas Team" tag.
3- Live in the Southern Nevada area; south of Mesquite.
4- If there is nothing available in your shop please use vacation mode.
5- Use the team tag "MadeInVegas team" on items you want to appear in the team blog and shop.
6- Check in on the blog periodically to let us know you are still out there and interested in Team
Activities.
Lastly we have a list of suggestions on how to participate.
We understand we all have busy lives but we will expect members to help promote others
and the team as a whole by choosing to participate at least twice a year
in one or more of the following ways.
1- Donate an item to the team store - min $15 value.
2- Assume a team leadership role
3- Organize a project
4- Chair an event
5- Attend 2 team events (meetings, craft shows...) per year
6- Volunteer to work at the team table (First Friday, Henderson Artwalk...)
7- Post on the team blog or team Facebook page
8- Post on your blog with a link to the HandmadeInVegas blog
9- Tweet about the team
10- Post on your Facebook page with a link to the HandmadeInVegas blog
11- Teach a workshop or class
12- Write an article about the team, or team events or team members/shops

I SO appreciate you guys coming up with these! Also, I taked to Heather about the listing of team shops, and we've decided that the team needs to stay true to handmade and accordingly, we will no longer be listing everyone's extra vintage and supply shops on the team roster. We will instead focus on our handmade items.
Please do not use the "madeinvegas team" tag on your vintage or supply items in the future.

Hello, looking forward to becoming a member of this Team. Glad to see we finally have an Etsy Team for Vegas/Southern Nevada! I'm quite happy to join in and meet everyone. Might not make the Etsy Birthday party but would love to help out on anything else.
I have a suggestion for promoting each other. We did it on my last team. We each received a partner and blogged about them. We did it a few times and I enjoyed it alot.
i think everything sounds very fair - i will remove the madeinvegas tags from my non-handmade items asap!
