Prices Negotiable?

Are your prices ever negotiable? I've had several Alchemy requests recently. Some are for a LOT less than I would be willing to accept and some are close enough to my price range that I make (and usually "win") a bid. My prices are generally set close to my competition. I would say I am in the mid to high range on my products. I do feel the quality surpasses some of the lesser (and even comparable) priced items. So with all the competition (cape makers are popping up left and right -- there were 4 total when I started last year) I think I need to be flexible if someone prefers me to someone else.

So, I'd like to know if your prices are set in stone or are you willing to let things go for a little less?

I would have posted this to the message board, but I can not access it for some reason! lol.

I usually don't do that section.
I figure my prices are good enough. I offer shipping for less.

But that is up to you and what u want to make off of every item.
Maybe give them a deal on 2 or just ad a bit more to shipping to compensate.

Hopefully more will chime in on this to see if they do.

My prices are as low as I can afford. If someone is using something as a raffle item for a ferret shelter, that's another story, and I am happy to donate.

I'm with Scrivener's Retreat, my prices are as low as I can go and make a decent wage. Sometimes people don't,or don't want to realize we are in business and can't just give our products away. To me, it's like your boss telling you, I'll pay for half your gas to get to work every day,but you "get to" work for 8-10 hours per day for no money, just because you like your job.

Love your point Rochelle!!
Discounts can even be hard sometimes!
It's hard work too what all of us do. Like yesterday, I made candles all day long. From painting jars, wicking jars, pouring and scenting, to labeling them.
Lots of time.
Then I feel I have to rethink prices sometimes.
