Hi guys - I'm thinking very seriously about investing a big chunk of change into screen printing supplies (the Yudu machine and some accessories) for a new idea I'm hoping will pay off. Have any of you done screen printing before or had any experience with the Yudu machine? Any tips or expert advice would be greatly appreciated.
Also, anyone know a local place where I can buy waterbased screen printing paints and emulsion?
And one more question for you screen printers - could I do a screen print on velour or is that fabric not suitable for screen printing because it's too fuzzy?

In my experience, the Yudu has a steep learning curve. Look up everything you can online before you start. The supplies are pricey but there are some good reference sites and tutorials. Good luck!!
thanks, katie. I think you're right about the learning curve. I've been reading reviews and comparison shopping for a few days now, and am under no impression that i'll get it right the first time! I can buy it from walmart online though and return it to the store if I turn out to be a totally dummy on it.
Do you have one? Used one before?
Hey Sarah,
I don't have one but I have used one. It was hard for me to get things right at first and I felt like I was just wasting ink and the films. It did turn out a gorgeous product once I got it down though. I'd just plan on making as many of one design as you need all at once though.
