Welcoming a new arrival

Hello everyone! I know many of you asked me at meetings 'when's the baby due/how much longer?' Well, the wait is over! My husband, son and I welcomed our baby girl, Kaylin Isabelle on November 16th. She was 6lbs 13.9 oz and 19 inches long. Quite a change from her old brother who was born 17.5 months ago and was a 'very healthy' 8lbs 11oz :)
I am recovering from a second C-section at the moment and very, very sore- my first was an emergency after 18.5 hours of natural labor and with our second- she was literally 'stuck' under my ribs and surgical intervention was the only way. Anyways, that's the boring stuff- but she's here now and is a very healthy and may I say BEAUTIFUL little girl :) She will be a week old tomorrow and so far is doing very well and I know her brother looks forward to being able to play with her when she's older.
So the next time I see everyone (hopefully the Christmas party) I will no longer be sporting a basketball under my tummy and should be able to fit back into my jeans!
I wish everyone a happy and fun Thanksgiving for later on this week and I look forward to the Christmas party in December!

Wow, Chase! She's an angel!! I'm so glad you finally got her out into the open. I hope she's a good sleeper so you can maintain some kind of sanity in her first months. But honestly, you're expecting to fit back into your jeans by December?! You may have to skip Thanksgiving dinner. Thanks so much for sharing her picture!

Thanks! She's been a very 'sweet' baby so far, her brother was fussy and impatient from day one.. she seems much more calm and relaxed. We will see if it holds up as the days and weeks pass (fingers crossed!) Sarah, I can fit into most of my jeans already but can't wear them just yet because they sit right on my incision- that's the beauty of being 'all belly' for the most part- once the baby is out and after a few days of losing water weight, I've got a bit more to lose before I am back to pre-pregnancy size :) No skipping Thanksgiving for me!! I am hosting Turkey day at my place this year for a few friends so I will certainly be working out for it (and by that, I mean.. working my arms by feeding my face :) ) hehe!
I'm looking forward to the party and already told hubby he's on baby sitting duty that night so I can enjoy our group and the festivities included!

Congratulations on your daughter. She will look so cute in purple butterfly wings. Maybe at the Christmas party we can stuff a turkey under your shirt if you start to feel empty down there.
