I just got an email from Cindy (who started and organizes First Friday) and she is very anxious to find volunteers for tomorrow's event. They need help from 5-10pm either manning their information booth or helping at the beverage stand.
For those of you who haven't been to First Friday, it's a very fun event and working as a volunteer will get you front row seats to the Las Vegas crazy parade. This is by far the biggest art event going on in Vegas with over 10,000 people attending each month. All the big-wig arts and culture heads in the city usually attend and volunteering is a great networking opportunity since many of the other volunteers help coordinate this event as well. This is also really good weather to volunteer.
Please let me know by the end of the day today if you would like to help out tomorrow and I'll set you up with Cindy. If you can, we'd love to have your help in future months as well - let me know if/when you'd like to help (email me or leave your comment on this post). You would report to The Funk House (1288 S. Casino Center Blvd, Las Vegas) at 5pm for your volunteer assignment.
