Handmade in Vegas is a group of artists and crafters living in southern Nevada who sell our handmade products on Etsy.com. Because of the smaller art community in Las Vegas, many of us lacked the support we needed to meet other artists and fully participate in a creative community. In May 2010, we joined together to support each other and provide our community with a comprehensive online marketplace of locally made goods for a truly unique and charming shopping experience. We believe there are many compelling reasons why shopping handmade can be a much better option than simply going to your closest "big box" store. Our team is constantly growing and we currently have over 240 members.
Our group offers a broad variety of handmade goods including home decor, jewelry, furniture, graphic design, and home baked goodies. Many of our members show their work in art galleries in Las Vegas. Other members have been featured in prominent publications and websites. While some of us are full time artists or crafters, other create their products on the side after parenting or job responsibilities are completed.
What brings us together is the love of our craft and our desire to share our artistic offerings with our local community. On our website you will be able to do a comprehensive search of our goods to find that one-of-a-kind, custom item. Buyers can then order it online through our shops and have it delivered to your door within days. Additionally, because all our goods are made one at a time, buyers will often be able to purchase customized goods for no extra charge. We believe there is something special about handmade products and hope to pass on our treasured creations to you.
As a group, we hope to help nurture and grow Las Vegas's arts movement. As well as selling our goods online, our members participate in many local fairs and events. We have committed to encourage the community arts in any way we can and offer a public database of vendor opportunities around Las Vegas.
